In the last days of April, masks, gloves and goggles – over 750 thousand pieces of protective equipment was distributed to medical and care facilities throughout the country. Previously, Animex and Agri Plus donated a total of over PLN 1.5 million as part of financial support for hospitals.This is another action in the fight against coronavirus undertaken by two leading agri-food companies in Poland. Thanks to cooperation between Animex, Agri Plus and the WH Group, the equipment was imported from China. The masks, gloves and goggles have the necessary certificates and attestations enabling their use in hospitals. We have supported some hospitals financially and now, with great pleasure, we donate protective equipment. We are aware of the magnitude of coronavirus issue, hence we are ready to give more support – says Jacek Dziełak, President of Animex Foods. Similarly, our feather plant in Krakow has already switched their production and they are making 3,000 reusable cotton masks a day. These are used to support local aid campaigns, Animex and Agri Plus plants and soon they will also reach selected medical and care units throughout Poland. We offer financial support, protective equipment and high-quality food products because we want to be part of the daily fight against coronavirus today. We feel proud to be involved in the nationwide assistance. Moreover, we are aware of our responsibility for local communities – emphasises Monika Ejchart, Agri Plus Managing Director. The equipment transfer is the second stage of our support to fight SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. In the coming weeks, we will intensify our operations to be able to donate even more food products to people in need, in particular those under quarantines and to seniors. Following the “think globally, act locally” idea, Animex and Agri Plus distributed protective equipment to locations, which neighbour our operations, i.e. Białystok, Bielsk Podlaski, Brzesko, Drawsko Pomorskie, Ełk, Iława, Kazuń Polski, Kętrzyn, Łęczyca, Łódź, Mońki, Olsztyn, Opole, Ostróda, Poznań, Sokółka, Starachowice, Suwałki, Szamotuły, Szczecin, Świecie, Warszawa, Zamość, Zgierz.
