Poland’s food security, production sovereignty, and supply chain resilience in the face of multiple crises—these were the topics that dominated the second day of the 56th GAP Scientific Symposium. Animex Foods was one of the participants in this prestigious debate.
Animex Foods participated in the 56th Scientific Symposium in the series “Contemporary Economy and Public Administration”—an event bringing together representatives from the worlds of science, business, and public administration, which for years has served as an important forum for exchanging ideas on the direction of Poland’s economic development. Speaking on behalf of the company was Łukasz Dominiak, the Director of Public & Government Relations at Animex Foods, who participated in a panel discussion on production safety and food sovereignty in an era of multiple crises.
“Food security doesn’t start in strategic warehouses—it starts in the field, on the farm, and in the production facility. It starts locally, but it must be resilient globally, because crises spread between markets in the blink of an eye,” — said Łukasz Dominiak. He also pointed out that short, well-integrated supply chains demonstrate the greatest resilience. The Animex Foods model—which involves cooperation with Polish farmers and is based on in-house breeding and processing—is a practical implementation of this philosophy. As an example of good risk management practices, he cited cooperation with global restaurant chains such as McDonald’s, whose high-quality standards and operational discipline and long-term planning can serve as a model for the entire industry.
Animex Foods’ presence in the public debate—among experts, scientists, and policymakers—reflects the company’s belief that sustainable food security is built not only in production facilities but also through active participation in the dialogue on economic and regulatory policy.
